The complete process of patent registration involves a series of steps which are to be mandatorily followed to get a patent in India. Patent is an invention which means a new product or process involving an inventive step and capable of industrial application which has not been anticipated by publication in any document or used in the country or elsewhere in the world before the date of filing of patent application. A registered Patent is valid for 20 years subject to renewal from the 3rd year.
